About Cucina di Madre Terra

Real Food. Real People. Real Places.

Cucina di Madre Terra connects people with the foods, producers, markets, restaurants, traditions and places that make regional food systems real.

Discover • Understand • Connect • Participate
What Cucina Is Food.
People.
Place.
Connected.

Cucina is where food, people and place connect.

Cucina di Madre Terra is a food discovery and authority platform designed to make regional food systems easier to discover, understand and support.

We connect individual foods with the people who grow, raise, harvest and make them; the markets where they are sold; the restaurants that put them on the table; the places that shape them; and the traditions and stories that give them meaning.

Instead of treating producers, restaurants, markets, food heritage and travel as separate subjects, Cucina brings them together as parts of one food ecosystem.

One discovery should naturally lead to another.

How the Ecosystem Works

Follow the Food.

Food gives us a starting point. From there, Cucina follows the relationships outward.

Why Cucina Exists

Local Food Doesn't Have an Interest Problem. It Has a Connection Problem.

People care about where their food comes from. The difficult part is knowing how to act on that interest.

What is actually in season? Who grows it? Where can you buy it? Which restaurants genuinely source locally? What farms can you visit? Why does a particular food matter to a place?

At the same time, small producers can make extraordinary food and still struggle to become visible.

Markets, restaurants, farms, traditions and seasonal experiences often exist as disconnected information.

Cucina exists to connect those pieces.

Our Principles

What Guides Cucina.

The platform can grow across foods, places and programs, but these principles remain constant.

01

Food Begins With Place.

Soil, water, climate, season, landscape and culture help shape what a place produces and how people eat.

02

Producers Deserve Visibility.

The people who grow, raise, harvest and make food should not disappear behind the finished product.

03

Local Should Mean Something.

We value demonstrable sourcing, real relationships and meaningful participation over vague marketing language.

04

Heritage Is Living.

Food heritage matters because people continue to grow, cook, preserve, adapt and carry it forward.

05

Participation Matters.

Buying, growing, visiting, eating, learning and sharing turn appreciation into participation.

Clarity Matters

What Cucina Is Not.

Not another restaurant directory.
Not another recipe website.
Not a generic travel guide.
Not a collection of disconnected listings.
Not recognition based only on marketing claims.
Not advocacy disconnected from the food itself.
Cucina begins with food— and follows the connections outward.

Leadership

Built From Experience. Focused on Participation.

Cucina di Madre Terra was founded by Frank Webb around a practical question:

How do we help people turn their belief in local food into something they actually do?

Frank's work across hospitality, tourism, destination marketing, digital visibility, content strategy and local food initiatives shapes Cucina's approach to discovery, connection and participation.

The objective is not simply to tell people local food matters.

It is to make participating in it easier.

Global Learning • Regional Application

Learn Globally. Interpret Locally. Apply Regionally.

Strong food cultures around the world offer lessons in how places protect, celebrate and communicate their food identity.

Cucina looks outward to understand how producers, markets, food regions, traditions and communities make food culture visible.

The objective is not to copy another country or assume one food system has all the answers.

It is to learn from what works, understand why it works and apply useful lessons to Southern and American regional food systems.

Strategy + Infrastructure

Building the Platform Behind the Idea.

Cucina di Madre Terra is developed with the strategic, digital and communications capabilities of Market Edge 360.

That relationship brings decades of experience in hospitality, tourism, destination marketing, content strategy, digital development and search visibility to the challenge of making regional food systems easier to discover.

Cucina also serves as a working platform for developing new approaches to food discovery, structured information, regional authority and connections between digital visibility and real-world participation.

The technology and strategy are tools. The objective remains simple: make real food, real producers and real places easier to find.

Participate

There's a Place for You in the Food System.

You do not have to work in food to participate in local food.

Buy something local. Meet a producer. Visit a farmers market. Ask where the food came from. Choose a restaurant that supports regional producers.

Visit a farm. Grow something. Learn a food story. Explore a place through what it produces.

Participation is where the food system becomes real.
